Happy Hearts Alliance - Cardiac Rehab Program

A six-month program for people with or at risk of developing heart disease who want to make lifestyle changes.
Happy Hearts Plus is a community cardiac wellness program. The program is 6 months. The Happy Heart Plus program includes supervised exercise classes, educational seminars, and support from health professionals. Services offered include:
  • Case Manager support during program enrolment.
  • Once/week supervised exercise class and education sessions on heart disease, healthy living, exercise and nutrition.
  • Access to local recreation facility

Happy Hearts is for people living with:
  • Heart attack
  • Angina
  • Angioplasty
  • Open heart surgery
  • People at risk of heart disease:
  • Obesity
  • Hypertension
  • Smoking
  • Diabetes
  • High cholesterol
  • Sedentary lifestyle
  • Strong family history of premature coronary artery disease

There is a cost associated with this program. Fees for the Sunshine Coast program are $312 for four months or $78 monthly. Subsidies are available for low income patients. Fees for the Vancouver program are $323.74 for adults, $226.62 for seniors for 6 months.
